Villa at Rajasthan
When client came to my office to design the villa/home,his first demand was that my house should be unique and beautiful.It should be different from the local houses in terms of look of the building and planning.The client is businessman in mumbai and wanted to make this building at his native place. He has got big land so no restriction of the floor plate of the building.The client has joint family and requirement was to accommodate two families with parents.
As we know the climate of Rajasthan is Hot and Dry (In afternoon 45 degree & in the evening its cool down to 20 degree) and the location of the land was open, no structure was arround the land therefore the impact of the weather was more in all 12 months and directly exposed to the wind, hot temperature, rain and cold. Keeping all this condition in mind we design the building to maintain the temperature of inside area constant by protecting the direct expose of the wall from the nature,for that we decided to create one more layer of wall, created balcony, shades, boxing around the building,which adds the aesthetic value and at the same time some depth and shadow to the building.To reduce the inside temperature,we introduced small garden within the building,fencing, porch, chajja and increased the room height. All these elements put together and placed in a discipline manner with proper proportion and different materials,textures, colors ,created the final elevation.
